Tuesday
As a preparation for Israel we had a week full of activities to get ready for our big journey. We started our week on Tuesday morning. We got the assignment to make a presentation of our school. We wanted to make a creative presentation so we made a small stop motion movie. We had a lot of fun making all those pictures. In the afternoon we had a meeting with Marie-Anne Decocker, former teatcher on our school. Because of her experience with the country she was perfect person to prepare us for the trip. She could answer all our questions and mentally prepared us.
Wednesday
On Wednesday we had a farewell party for all our family and friends. In the main time we also used this opportunity to raise money for our trip. It wasn’t just a farewell party it was also a birthday party. Two of the students were celebrating their birthday that day!
Thursday
Thursday we made cupcakes to sell on Friday morning. In the evening we had a meeting with Lut De Jaegher. She organised the internship and made the contacts. We had a last check up with her before our take-off on Sunday. Later that evening we organised a movie night. We showed the movie ‘Lemon Tree’. If you’d like more information you can download the brochure here.
Friday
Friday morning we had our cake sale. Its was a huge success we sold all our cakes and we were very happy. After the cake sale we had a last meeting with our mentor to make some last arrangements. We were very existed to leave on Sunday!
