Arrival @ Israël

Monday, 22-04-13

Yesterday, after a 4.5 hour flight,  we finally arrived on the destination we were longing for:
The Promised Land, Israel.
Although the weather in Israel is supposed to be good, it wasn't. There were grey clouds hanging above Tel Aviv and there was a chance that it might rain. Luckily for us it didn't.
It was rather hard to find our way in the great city of Tel Aviv. When we came out of the airport we had to find a way to get to the hostel. So we searched for transportation.
We decided to take the train to the center of Tel Aviv first and take a cab when we arrived at the center. We managed to do this, although it took a lot of (precious) time.
We checked-in at the hostel, installed ourselves into our room and went outside for a 'little" walk along the shore. We enjoyed this very much.
After a while we we're getting hungry so we looked for some typical Israeli food. We found a cosy restaurant where we enjoyed a great and tasty meal.
We spent the rest of the evening wandering around Tel Aviv, exploring the city and enjoying a fresh drink on a shore (lounge) bar at the beach.
Of course we had to catch some sleep as well, so we did.

We woke up at 8 a.m., had some breakfast and, because the weather was better, headed to the beach. We spent some time there, went back to the hostel, checked-out and went to the nearest train station. There we took the train to Akko (or Acre) where Khaled is waiting for us.
At the moment we are on that train and are very excited to see Khaled, Aïsha and Chris and of course we are dying to see Tamra, the place where we'll be staying for the rest of our trainee in Israel....

We'll keep you posted soon!
